Verjaardagskaartje

Voor een verjaardag van een lieve vriend en vriendin een kaartje gemaakt.
Wat een "gevecht" was het zeg, poeh poeh. Het wilde met de layout van de kaart absoluut niet lukken.
Maar met het uiteindelijke resultaat ben ik toch wel tevreden. En de jarigen ook dus dan is het goed.

I made a card for a Birthday from a dear Friend and Girlfriend.
What a "fight" it was, pff. I couldn't get my layout right, wouldn't do what I wanted it to do.
But in the end I'm happy with result. And more importantly so are the Birthdaypals.

Paars CS in een leuke vorm, daarop DP van Wild Rose Studio: Bella. Een Cheerylynn die, wat bloemetjes en pareldraadjes en wat accentjes met een parelpen en witte gelliner.

Binnen in de kaart nog een klein versierinkje met dezelfde kaartvorm en papier.
Aan een kant een opening gelaten waar een label in kan.

On the inside of the card a little decoration with the same cardshape and DP.
On one side I left an opening so I can put a lable in.

Vruchtbare zondag

Zo vandaag was ik een dagje alleen thuis en heb dus heerlijk kunnen hobbyen.

Het resultaat is 2 kaartjes met Saturated Canary. Wat een ontzettend leuke stempels zijn dit toch.

Helaas heb ik ruzie met mijn printer, hij print niet goed... dus mocht er iemand tips hebben voor een goede printer met watervaste inkt dan hou ik me aanbevolen. 

Today I was home alone so I had the whole day to make cards.

The result are these 2 cards with Saturated Canary. Oh I love these stamps.

Unfortunately my printer and I don't agree.. so if there's anyone with THE tip for a good printer with waterproof ink than please let me know.

Mijn eerste kaartje is er eentje met Ava, een gratis digi van Krista.

Ik heb haar gebruikt voor een verhuiskaartje voor een lieve collega. Zij en haar vriend hebben net hun eerste huis gekocht. Ik heb dus geprobeerd een huisje te maken. En als geintje een engelse buldog achter het raam want dit is haar grote droom.

My first card is one with Ava, a free digi from Krista.

I used her for a movingcard for a sweet collegae. She and her boyfriend just bought their first house. So I tried to make a house. And for a little joke I put an English buldog behind the window as this is her big dream.

Het is een easelkaart. Witte CS, gele/goudkleurige CS met een bloemenwerkje, rode CS met een werkje voor dakpannen en bruine CS voor de deur. De dakpannen zijn bewerkt met een randje van MS.

Een hekje voor het huis met wat gras. 

It's an easelcard. White CS, yellow/gold CS with a motive, red CS with a motive for the roof and brown CS for the door. The roof has a MS border. In front of the house a gate and some grass.

Als stop heb ik een leuke tekst gebruikt. Deze uitgesneden met een nestabilitie.

En onder de bovenkaart een envelopje met een kaartje.

I used a sentiment as a stop for the card. I cut this with a nestabilitie.

And under the topcard I put a little envelope with a card.

Mijn tweede kaartje is een digi die Krista speciaal gemaakt heeft voor het Nederlandse Canary blog. Ontzettend leuk natuurlijk!

My second card is with a digi that Krista made especially for the Dutch Canary blog. 

Very nice ofcourse!

En natuurlijk is het dan leuk om in de Nederlandse sfeer te blijven. 

Een witte CS, daarop een DP van Papermania, Capsule collection. De digi is uitgesneden met een nestabilitie en gemat op donkerblauw CS. Een leuk hartenlintje en een Nederlands driekleur strikje. Wat bloemetjes en een leuke Hollandse groet maken het kaartje compleet.

And ofcourse you stay in Dutch spirit. 

A white CS, with a DP from Papermania, Capsule collection. The digi is cut with a nestabilitie and matted on darkblue CS. A cute heartribbon and a Dutch flag bow. Some flowers and a Dutch sentiment makes the card complete.

Binnenin de kaart een molen gemaakt. Aan de zijkant heb ik een opening gelaten om een tag in te stoppen met een groet.

On the inside of the card I colored a windmill. On the side I left an opening where I can put a tag with a blessing.

Mijn eerste poging tot wolkjes als achtergrond. Dutch Canary is ingekleurd weer met Distress inkt en Twinklings.

Tijdens het surfen op internet kwam ik op een site met hele leuke patroontjes. sandrasscrapshop een site waarop ik deze auto tegen kwam. Mijn man stond toevallig achter me toen deze voorbij kwam en riep meteen dat dit wel een hele leuke was voor zijn broer, die dadelijk een nieuwe auto krijgt. Dus patroon besteld en aan de slag.
Maar wat een priegelig werk is dat zeg... jeetje. Of het aan mijn knip of plakkunsten ligt weet ik niet maar hij is helaas wel wat scheef. En hier en daar zitten wat lijmvlekjes maar ach dat mag de pret niet drukken.
Ik vind het vrij aardig gelukt.

While surfing the internet I came across a site with very nice patterns. sandrasscrapshop a site on which I found this car. My husband stood beside me when this came along and he immediately said that this would be a great gift for his brother, who will be getting a new car. So I ordered the pattern and went to work.
But what a work.. jeezzz. I don't know if it's my cutting or my glueing but it's a little crooked. And there are some gluespots here and there but hey it's handmade.
I think it turned out pretty okay.

In het zwart/wit gehouden omdat hij een zwarte auto krijgt. En helemaal zwart is niet leuk. Wit linnen CS, zwart CS en een designpapier waarvan ik de naam niet weet. Met de gelpen en zwarte liner een paar accentjes aangebracht op stoelen en banden.

I kept it in black and white because he will get a black car. And completely black isn't fun to make. 
White linnen CS, black CS and a DP from which I don't know the name. With white gelliner and black liner I made some accents on the chairs and tires.

Een stukje sheet als raam met daarop ruitenwissers. Helaas is daar de lijm op geknoeid.
Een stuurtje vast gezet met splitpen. En wat alufolie op de zijspiegels.

A steeringwheel with a linchpin. And some tinfoil on the sidemirrors.

Kerstlantaarn

Op Tietsclub kon je een patroon aanvragen ivm het 8 jarig bestaan van de club. En bof ik weer.. het was het patroon van een kerstlantaarn waar ik al heel lang verlekkerd naar het kijken was.

On Tiets club you could ask for a pattern because of the 8 year anniversary of the club. And lucky me.. it's the pattern of a Christmas lantern that I was drewling over for some time.

Een groene CS, parelmoer ijskristallen, vellumramen, een kerstlintje, sneeuwvlokken en nep sneeuw.
Heel simpel maar toch wel leuk.
Op de voor en achterkant twee verschillende magnolia's uit de Merry Christmas Collection van 2010,  Tilda on ornament en Sweet Christmas Dreams van 2011, Winter Tilda.

A green CS, pearl icecristals, vellumwindows, a Christmasribbon, snowflakes and fake snow.
Very simple but I like it.
On front and back 2 different Magnolia's Merry Christmas Collection 2010,  Tilda on ornament and Sweet Christmas Dreams 2011, Winter Tilda.

Beiden zijn gekleurd met Twinkling H2O.

Both are colored with Twinkling H2O.

Verjaardagskaarten

In augustus hebben we kort na elkaar 2 verjaardagen, mijn schoonbroer en mijn vader.
En daar horen natuurlijk kaartjes bij.
Beide mannen zijn autogek dus daar maar eventjes op door geborduurd.

In August we have 2 Birthdays really close together, my brother in law and my father.
And ofcourse it wouldn't be complete without a card.
Both men love cars so I went with that theme.

Als eerste een kaartje voor mijn schoonbroer. Niet teveel frutsels want daar houdt hij niet van.

Een creme linnen cs als basis, randjes met distressinkt bewerkt. Daarop een stuk blauw cs waarvan ik de randjes met een schaar bewerkt heb. Daarop een stuk karton. Aan de zijkant een leuke mal van TH gebruikt. De auto is ook van Tim Holtz, heel leuke mal. En aangezien hij een Ford man is, heb ik het embleem van Ford erachter geplakt.

A creme linnen cs as a base, edges distressed with ink. On top of that a piece of blue cs from which I distressed the edges with a pair of scissors. On top of that a piece of cardboard. At the site of the card a TH die. The car is also a Tim Holtz die, very nice! And since he's a Ford guy, I put the Fordsign behind the car.


Dan het kaartje voor mijn vader. Hij wordt 65 dus dat moet gevierd worden.

Then my father's card. He turns 65 so that has to be celebrated.

Omdat hij volgend jaar samen met mijn broer een grote reis naar Australie gaat maken wat "Australische dollars" erbij gedaan.

Because he's planning a big journey to Australia with my brother next year I put some "Australian dollars" at the card.

Als basis een donkerblauw cs uitgestanst met een scalloped oval die. Dit als easel gemaakt. Deze bevestigd op een stuk creme cs zodat ik een pocket kon maken waar het "geld" en een labeltje in kunnen.
Ook hier weer wat Tim Holtz dies gebruikt. En een leuke bloem op het op te vrolijken. Mijn vader is bloemengek dus dat vond ik wel toepasselijk.

As a base a darkblue cs cut with a scalloped oval die. I made an easel from it and put that on a piece of creme cs so I could make a pocket in which I could put the "money" and a label.
I uses some Tim Holtz dies on this card too. And I put a bright flower on it. My dad loves flowers so I thought that would be appropriate. 

Voor de afbeelding heb ik 2 Magnolia stempels gebruikt: Happy Edwin een 2012 special en Edwin's Oldsmobile van de 2012 summer memories serie.
Beide afbeeldingen zijn ingekleurd met Twinkling en potloden.
Ik heb geprobeerd de auto ook wat ouder te laten lijken door wat roestplekjes toe te voegen.

Tag

Vandaag mijn eerste Tag gemaakt.
Het was niet echt makkelijk om te beginnen.. Normaal heb ik een idee van een soort kaart in mijn hoofd, zoek daar een leuk afdrukje bij, of net andersom. En ga daar leuke papiertjes bij zoeken en daarna de kleurtjes om in te kleuren.
Maar dit keer kon dat niet... Ik had dit afdrukje namelijk laatst samen met een vriendin ingekleurd om te kijken hoe de Distressmarkers bevallen. Dus moest nu helemaal anders werken dan dat ik gewend ben.

Today I made my first Tag.
It wasn't easy to start.. Normally I've got an idea of a kind of a card in my head, find a nice stamp to go with it, or just the other way around. And then I go look for some nice DP and then the colors for coloring.
But this time that wasn't an option... I had this stamp already colored with a friend the other day, to see how I liked the Distressmarkers. So I had to work totally different than that I'm used too.

Maar ik ben niet helemaal ontevreden.
Creme CS met een DP van Studiolight, daar weer een DP van Magnolia, Somebunny loves you, vintage turquise quilt. Een boom van Memorybox, grasrandje van Magnolia, hekje van MD. Bloemetjes van MD en Magnolia. En het afdrukje is Magnolia, 2012 summer memories Rosegarden Tilda.

But I'm fairly satisfied.
Creme CS with a DP from Studiolight, on top of that a DP from Magnolia, Somebunny loves  you, vintage turquise quilt. A tree from Memorybox, grass from Magnolia, fence from MD. Flowers from MD and Magnolia. And the stamp is Magnolia, 2012 summer memories Rosegarden Tilda.

Een closeupje van Tilda, ze is helemaal ingekleurd met Distressmarkers. Leuk om mee te werken en je kunt er hele fijne details mee doen. Alleen vind ik persoonlijk het papier iets te dik om mee te werken.

En zal ik eens wat grappigs vertellen... Ik was zo blij met mijn afbeelding, vond haar broek zo leuk gelukt en een mooie kleur hebben en nu zie je het niet eens.....
Maar goed dat er nog foto's zijn...

Want to know something funny... I was so happy with my stamp, loved the way her trousers worked out and loved the color and now you can't even see it....

Geboortekaartje

Een lieve collega heeft een baby gekregen dus daar heb ik een felicitatiekaartje voor gemaakt.
Op een facebookpagina zag ik een heel mooi voorbeeld voorbij komen dus gevraagd of daar een patroon voor was en dat heel lief gekregen.

A dear colleague had a baby so I made a card to congratulate her.
On a facebookpage I saw this gorgeous card so I asked if there was a template for it and very nicely got one.

Als basis cremekleurig linnen CS met daarop een DP van Papercraft, Babycakes little girl Backgrounds.
De randjes zijn aangezet met Distress, Victorian Velvet. Een klein lintje langs de nek en beenopeningen, 2 knoopjes en houten lettertjes in de naam van de baby.

Ik heb een labeltje gemaakt wat aan de binnenkant van de kaart bevestigd kan worden.

I made a label that can be put on the inside of the card.

En dit is de kaart met babysokjes als mouwtjes. Lief he?

And this is the card with babysocks as sleeves. Isn't it sweet?

Baby Tilda, 2012 Prince & Princess serie, is ingekleurd met Distress voor de huid en Twinklings voor de kleertjes. Ik heb geprobeerd haar huid wat donkerder te maken omdat mama ook getint is, maar dat valt nog niet mee.

Baby Tilda, 2012 Prince & Princess series, is colored with Distress for the skin and Twinklings for the clothing. I tried to make her skin a little darker as her mama is also a little colored, but that wasn't easy to do.
